The more I have to do, the more I can pray…
When I awake and open my eyes I thank the Lord for another day.
For keeping me all night long – another day to give Him praise and bring glory to His name.
Thank you, O Lord, for opening the eyes of my understanding.
While I am dressing myself, I pray that I am clothed with the Robe of Righteousness.
When I wash myself, I ask for the washing of regeneration and that I continue to be washed in the Blood of Christ.
As I do my house work, or any work I must do, I pray that I am given the strength of God’s might proportioned to the day’s work and for the energy to not forget Him.
When I prepare meals, I pray that God’s work will revive in my soul.
In sweeping, I pray that the Lord will sweep over my soul – that I be made clean from all impurities.
As I make ready to eat, I pray the desire to be fed with true manna from Heaven; the sincere milk of the Word, that I may grow and grasp the ability to feast on the meat (flesh) of the Word of God.
As I get busy with the grandson, I look to my Father in Heaven and pray for the Spirit of Adoption – that I may remain His child in His care.
When I watch the news, I pray for wisdom that I may not agree with lies, but partake of the truth as He lets me down in the depths of His Wisdom and Knowledge.
That God would cause me to be wise and prudent as I live on earth preparing to spend eternity with my Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Remembering that it is He who gives me the breath in my lungs and causes my heart to beat while I am in this foreign land.
